Stacy Whitenight

Stacy (she/her/ella) is a cisgender, straight, immigrant from the Dominican Republic. Stacy is a Senior Leader in Business Operations and has been working in the IT industry for over a decade with leading IT companies like SoftwareOne, Red Hat, Lenovo, Symantec and Duke University.

Stacy is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has a Change Management Certification. She earned a Masters in Technology and Instruction from George Mason University. Her insatiable thirst to flex her creative muscles has led her to find unique ways to incorporate technology into her work, aligning tech to find creative solutions to business problems. In addition to her technical skills, she has a coaching and mentoring style of leading teams and managing people. 

As a multicultural and bilingual techie, Stacy combines her heritage and passions to bring about expansive innovation. She has a bold aspiration to be a source of hope for a better future. Every interaction, outcome, and iota of work she contributes celebrates individuality, fairness, and belonging. She serves the community in various ways. Stacy is the President of the Latinas in Tech North Carolina Chapter, and has served on the Board of Directors for the National Hispanic Corporate Council (NHCC) and formerly a city Commissioner for the City of Durham as the Chair for the Human Relations Commission Board. 

​Outside of her professional pursuits, Stacy is a former D1 NCAA Athlete. She enjoys traveling, playing golf, snowboarding, and staying fit by coaching soccer for kids. Stacy is also a self-taught 3D printer and enjoys cosplaying with her family, including her two golden retrievers.
